Malachite is a copper carbonate hydroxide mineral with a vivid, banded green color that forms in concentric rings, stripes, or swirling patterns unique to each piece. It is found primarily in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, and Russia, and forms as a secondary mineral in the oxidized zones of copper deposits. The color is entirely natural and among the most saturated greens found in any mineral. Please note: malachite contains copper and should be handled with care, kept dry, and kept away from prolonged skin contact with raw or powdered forms.
